Northside School of Dance Students are given the opportunity to perform in eisteddfods both locally and intrastate, participate in the CSTD concerts and workshops, perform at community and studio events; and gain qualifications with the CSTD exams.

In just four short years, NSD has been able to produce results that would rival any dance school. From high exam results to students continuing their dance career, NSD students are recognized for their excellent technique, presentation and passion for dance within the industry.

80% of NSD students who sat their CSTD exams in 2008, 2009 and 2010 received Highly Commended or Honours for their exam results. To achieve this you must receive a mark of 85% or above. NSD is already considered one of the leading CSTD studios in Queensland.

The NSD performance team was formed this year and after performing at our first eisteddfod came away with Highly Commended in all sections. The adjudicator spoke highly of our performance, technique and unique dance concepts. This is an amazing result for our first year and we look forward to many more eisteddfod achievements in years to come.

Past NSD Students have gone on to study dance full time after completing high school while still maintaining classes and contact at NSD. These students are now competing nationally in dance competitions and will no doubt become leading dancers, choreographers or teachers within the industry. Many dance professionals have made comment on the dedication, exceptional technique and passion of NSD students now studying under their full time courses.

All NSD students perform at the NSD end of year concert. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop performance skills and show off their work to family and friends. It is a great end to a year of hard work and all students look forward to it with great enthusiasm.
